My first influences were Jim Henson's television show "Storytellers. " As a platform the artists involved were given phenomenal freedom to experiment. The characters in the series intrigued me because of their unconventionality , greek myths, paraboles, and fables lend themselves well towards the grotesque and unusual. I have since found new graphic novels to be great source material for concept art and sculpture. In reading Japanese graphic novels I've come to appreciate the sensitive line quality, which has encouraged me to reevaluate some character concepts. In my quest for new challenges I've rediscovered table top gaming as well as come to appreciate video games. There are simply so many graphic styles that are different than any other that I've previously experienced, it has inspired me to experiment with digital media.
